Dentons and Hogan Lovells have taken the headline roles on the development and funding of a government-backed carbon capture and storage (CCS) project at the site of the Drax power station in North Yorkshire.

In a statement to parliament yesterday (9 December), Energy and Climate Change Secretary Edward Davey announced the White Rose project – a £2bn coal power plant capable of providing clean electricity to more than 630,000 homes – was the first recipient of CCS funding.
