Norton Rose, Clifford Chance (CC) and Eversheds have played key roles as the Government’s new Green Investment Bank completed its first major deal, with the (£224m) refinancing of a stake in one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms.

The 24.8% stake in Walney Offshore Wind Farm, off the coast of Cumbria – which is controlled by the OPW joint venture between Dutch pension administrator PGGM and Ampere Equity Fund – was purchased from Denmark’s DONG Energy in 2010.
