Progressive employers must embrace the increasing focus on CSR and human rights, says Christopher Syder

In a world with fewer and fewer places to hide, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and employers’ responsibility for human rights impacts are more under the spotlight of a global audience than ever before. The recent Apple/Foxconn dispute in China (pictured) and the continuing child forced labour abuses associated with the cotton harvesting practices in Uzbekistan are two prime examples of how CSR has been pushed high up the agenda in boardrooms all over the world.
