White & Case’s London office was charged more than £4m by New York for its contribution towards running the firm in 2008 – an increase of around 50% on the previous year.

The US firm’s UK limited liability partnership (LLP) accounts for 2008 show London was charged £4.07m for its share of joint costs, such as new office openings and the firm’s IT support function in Manila. This compared with £2.68m during 2007.
