Uria Menendez has boosted its Madrid base with the hire of Clifford Chance's (CC's) former Spanish senior partner Jaime de San Roman. De San Roman, who also headed CC's Spanish banking and finance practice, left the magic circle firm at the end of July without announcing his next move. The Madrid-based partner had been senior partner for two years at the time of his departure, and also previously served as Spain co-managing partner between 2001 and 2007.
