I have pretty much been offered a job on qualification at the firm I trained at; I like it here and want to stay here if possible. But I’m thinking, just to be safe, that maybe I should apply to other firms to test the water and provide some insurance in case the partners change their minds or if economic circumstances mean there is no job for me in September.
Will the other firms I apply to think badly of me if I then turn them down – and will they dismiss a job application from me further down the line?
