A National Audit Office (NAO) investigation into Charles Russell’s handling of a compensation trust for sufferers of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) has been dropped with no action taken against the law firm.
The NAO raised concerns over the costs of the legal and secretariat service provided to the trust, but has decided not to pursue a ‘value-for-money’ case against the firm.
