CMS Cameron McKenna and Baker & McKenzie bagged the plum roles advising on the high-stakes dispute between Formula One rivals McLaren and Ferrari, Legal Week has learned, in what led to one of the biggest fines in sporting history.

Camerons advised Ferrari on the dispute, which saw the specialist car maker secure a record-breaking $100m (£50m) fine for McLaren last week (13 September) after a hearing held by the sport’s governing body – the FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC).
