Mukasey lined up as new US attorney general
Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler litigation partner Michael Mukasey is set to succeed Alberto Gonzales as US attorney general, according to press reports yesterday (16 September). Mukasey, formerly Chief Judge of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, could be unveiled by US President George W Bush as the new Department of Justice (DoJ) chief as early as today (17 September).
