The chairman of Hammonds, Crawford Gillies, has taken up a role at business risk consultancy Control Risks. Gillies will become chair of the company at the end of the month (31 July). He replaces Jonathan Fry, who held the position for seven years. Gillies is also a non-executive director of Standard Life, a senior adviser to Bain & Company, and recently completed a five-year spell on the management board of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.
