Herbies' CIT links pay dividend as firm signs up bank as new mid-market client

Herbert Smith has expanded its mid-market banking client roster after winning CIT Bank as a new client.

The top 10 City law firm won the bank – a subsidiary of US company CIT Group – as a client last month. The instruction came through finance partner Chris Fanner’s friendship with CIT banker Chris Jackson.
