Kirkland & Ellis has opened a satellite office in Frankfurt as the US-based firm looks to expand its German capabilities into the Republic's financial capital. Initially, the office will have no lawyers permanently based there, but corporate partner Frank Becker and tax partner Roderic Pagel, who both live in Frankfurt and commute to the firm's Munich practice, will spend one day a week there. The firm may introduce permanent lawyers to the office in the future.
