How useful is it for a non-US educated NQ to study the NY Bar exam with the aim of securing a job at a top US firm? Would they overlook the fact that I don't have a joint degree and still be keen to train me up so that I can actually give US-law advice? I'm thinking mainly of Hong Kong and China, where most Wall Street firms practise US law, not local law.
