Two more partners have left Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s German arm, it has emerged, with US firms Howrey and Dewey Ballantine the latest to benefit from the surge of senior departures from the magic circle firm.

Frankfurt-based corporate partner Thomas Schmuck is to join Dewey’s local arm, while intellectual property (IP) partner Michael Knospe is to join the fledgling Munich office of IP leader Howrey.
