Dewey Ballantine has suffered another senior defection with the news that Palo Alto managing partner Jeannine Yoo Sano is quitting the New York firm to join the local arm of intellectual property (IP) leader Howrey. Sano, who previously co-chaired Dewey's IP litigation practice, will join Howrey on 1 May as a partner. She is the second senior IP partner to quit Dewey for Howrey in as many months, after fellow IP litigation co-chair Cano Carrano defected to Howrey's Washington DC arm in March.
