Berwin Leighton Paisner has revealed plans to open an Asian office in Singapore, with Paul Supramaniam, current head of English Law in Asia for Latham & Watkins, heading up the new venture. Supramaniam will focus on the offshore market, concentrating on building the firms profile in a variety of sectors. Neville Elisenberg, BLPs managing partner, said: Over the past year the firm has experienced an increase in international work, much of which has involved Asia.Legalweek.com (29 January).
