The Government has doubled the number of cases in which alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is used to settle its legal disputes, according to figures published by the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA). In a report released last week (17 January), the DCA said ADR had been used in 336 governmental disputes, with 72% of cases settling through mediation.
