This award reflects the fact that a growing band of ambitious lawyers are moving in-house at an earlier stage in their career, where once many would have hit a glass ceiling in private practice before crossing the floor.
Alexandra Thrower draws note for having been appointed director of legal affairs for UK and Ireland at IVAX Pharmaceuticals, now known as Teva UK after its takeover earlier this year. Thrower has become a familiar face on the London in-house scene, having taken a seat on the London committee of the Commerce & Industry Group.
