The Italian legal profession has been in the midst of a major transformation since new legislation was passed this summer, relaxing bans on contingency fees, multi-disciplinary practices (MDPs) and advertising as well as abolishing minimum fees.
The new legislation was approved by Parliament in August, going into effect the following day and giving firms until 1 January next year to comply.
