Women are seriously under-represented at partner level at top US firms, according to new research, with females making up less than 20% of partnerships. According to a survey by the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), which takes into account more than 100,000 lawyers at all the major US firms, women made up 18% of partners in 2006.
