Headhunter sues Akin Gump as US recruitment market simmers

A New York recruitment agency is suing Texas giant Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld following a dispute over payments concerning a lateral hire from rival Dorsey & Whitney.

Sivin Tobin Associates says it lined up Dorsey corporate partner Chang-Joo Kim for Akin Gump, which then paid the finder’s fee to another headhunter, Boston Executive Search.
