Freshfields continues Euro hot streak with rights issue double

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised on two major rights issues in the space of a week totalling $7.5bn (£4bn) in value, as the magic circle firm continues its strong showing in European transactional work.

The magic circle firm advised on a $5.5bn (£2.9bn) placing for Anglo-Swiss mining giant Xstrata and on a $2bn (£1.1bn) placing for Kazakh oil company JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production.
