Clifford Chance (CC) has hired Allen & Overy (A&O) financial institutions partner Simon Gleeson in a rare lateral hire by the magic circle firm.
Gleeson will join as a partner in CC’s financial regulatory practice. He joined A&O in 1998 and became a partner with the firm in 2001 following a secondment with the Financial Services Authority (FSA). He specialises in securities and financial markets and was recently involved in assisting with the preparation of the FSA’s market abuse regime in the UK.
