Ashurst partner joins Aer Lingus board
Ashurst corporate partner Michael Johns has been appointed to the board of Aer Lingus. Johns, a partner in Ashurst’s energy, transport and infrastructure group, was one of four non-executive directors appointed by the airline last week. Johns represents the airline’s Employee Share Ownership Trust (ESOT) and earlier this year he also advised the Eircom ESOT on its joint cash offer with Babcock & Brown for the entire share capital of Eircom. Aer Lingus has confirmed its intention to float at the end of September.
