Italian legislators to vote on liberal legal reform plans

The Italian legal market is preparing for a major shake-up with proposed legislation to relax bans on contingency fees, multi-disciplinary practices (MDPs), minimum fees and advertising.

The new legislation, which is scheduled to be voted on by the Italian parliament in mid-September, would dramatically liberalise the country’s legal profession.
