Spanish heavyweights Garrigues, Cuatrecasas and Slaughter and May ally Uria & Menendez have recorded robust year-end results for 2005, although UK firms continue to improve their share of the growing Spanish legal market.

Garrigues, Spain’s largest law firm by head count, topped the league table for turnover, grossing 194m (£134m), an 11% increase on last year, according to figures from local title Expansion.
