Munich teams shine for Hengeler and Freshfields on €4.2bn disposal

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and elite German independent Hengeler Mueller have scooped the lead roles on a €4.2bn (£2.9bn) drug deal which involved lawyers across 40 jurisdictions.

The deal saw German drug maker Bayer sell its US-based medical testing arm to Munich giant Siemens, a deal which will help finance its acquisition of domestic rival Schering.
