The construction process for a new flagship commercial court in London is set to begin before the end of the year, it has emerged, as the Government moves to quell growing signs of disquiet over the long-running £25m project.

The Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) is considering to which developer it will award the contract, which will officially begin on 1 November. The court is due to be up and running by 2011.
