Regulation is an issue at the core of the concerns affecting today’s commercial lawyers. The Legal Week Benchmarker survey on regulation, in association with McGrigors, highlighted regulation as a pressing trend among the senior corporate counsel polled.
Of those questioned, 44% were of the opinion that the burden of regulation had increased during the past 12 months. As many as half of the corporate counsel questioned said the impact of regulation on business was set to increase ‘modestly’ in the next one to three years. The findings of the survey were debated at a roundtable meeting hosted by, and in association with, McGrigors.
