One of the UK’s most senior in-house figures is holding talks with business schools to create an MBA course for corporate counsel.
BOC Group group legal director Nick Deeming is in talks with a number of business schools about the creation of the first-ever MBA course specifically designed for in-house lawyers in the UK. Deeming told Legal Week that there was a need for a course tailored specifically for in-house lawyers that covered issues such as compliance and dealing with the chief executive. “We have never found anything that suits us as lawyers,” he said.
