Axxia, the UK-based practice and case management software provider, has enjoyed a strong trading quarter fuelled by a dozen upgrades of existing clients’ accounting systems. The upgrades will position the firms to be able to take advantage of axxia dna, a system which has evolved from practice management to higher-level business process management functionality, said managing director Doug McLachlan.

Hextalls, a City firm with 22 partners, and Davies Lavery, a national insurance law firm, are among those who have upgraded from the Arista to the Artiion system. Some of the firms migrating to Artiion have also moved databases from IBM Informix to Microsoft SQL.
