Approximately 300 jobs are to be axed at the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA), it emerged this week, with a further 1,000 in the firing line across the UK courts ministry. The job cuts, which were sparked by budget cuts of up to 8%, are likely to come from the DCA’s administrative and HR divisions, while security and administration teams are set to be the worst hit in the Courts Service. A DCA spokesperson said: “We need to improve still further our financial management.”
