The British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) has announced that it is to implement a programme of research into the use of digital evidence. The scheme aims to conduct applied research into the practical and legal issues surrounding the use of digital evidence in judicial proceedings.

An initial meeting will be held on Tuesday 28 March to set out the objectives of the programme. Two specialist panels will be formed to consult with BIICL on the type of research required and advise on the formulation of the programme. The first will be a panel of lawyers and academics, while the second will be comprised of industry personnel.
