US firm Kirkland & Ellis has beefed up its Munich office with the hire of Linklaters Oppenhoff & Raedler partner Bernd Meyer-Lowy, as Baker & McKenzie also adds to its practice in the city by taking the Hamburg head of Haarmann Hemmelrath.

Meyer-Lowy, who was a restruc-turing specialist in Linklaters’ German insolvency and restruc-turing practice, will be followed to Kirkland by another restructuring partner in April, who has yet to be named.
