There was no sign of a let-up in the wave of mergers involving US national firms in the closing weeks of 2005. Squire Sanders & Dempsey is in talks with Bryan Cave, while Bingham McCutchen has agreed to take on Swidler Berlin.
The talks suggest that the consolidation taking place within the US’ national legal market still has some way to go.
