A&O builds up UK buy-out practice with Lovells hire

Allen & Overy (A&O) has made a surprise corporate partner hire, recruiting Lovells private equity partner Derek Baird, in a bid to boost the firm’s UK buy-out practice.

Baird, who has been a partner at Lovells since 2002 where he joined from Dickson Minto, has strong links with leading private equity clients Charterhouse and 3i.
