Janet Paraskeva is to leave her role as the Law Society’s chief executive to succeed Baroness Usha Prashar as the first civil service commissioner as Chancery Lane gears up for a year of post-Clementi upheaval in its executive and structure.

Chancery Lane confirmed late last year that Paraskeva, who has been the body’s high-profile chief executive for the last five years, will stay on to oversee the society’s restructuring before moving to the Office of the Civil Service Commissioners in the summer.
