Cleary lines up high-profile SEC legal chief

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton is in talks to recruit outgoing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) general counsel Giovanni Prezioso – one of the US’ best-known corporate counsel.

Prezioso has been the powerful market regulator’s legal chief since 2002, when he quit Cleary’s partnership to take over the role from previous legal head David Becker.
