Latham & Watkins is to open an office in Munich after hiring Ashurst’s German co-head of corporate, Joerg Kirchner, giving the US giant its third base in Germany.
The Los Angeles-based firm, which presently has offices in Hamburg and Frankfurt, has hired a three-lawyer team from the top 10 London firm, led by private equity partner Kirchner. He is a key adviser to Bain Capital.
