The Diary applauds any effort made by law firms to look after the wellbeing of their staff – although whether those efforts stem from genuine altruistic concern or the hope of being able to wring another few billable hours from struggling workers is open to debate.

So hats off to Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, which responded to the discovery that some of its workers had lethally high blood pressure by devising the ‘KLNG Health Challenge’ – a programme of yoga sessions, subsidised gym membership and on-site Weight Watchers classes.
