China opens gates to Hong Kong lawyers with CEPA III

International firms are looking to take a greater slice of China’s highly restricted legal market after the Chinese Government this week unveiled fresh Bar liberalisation.

As Legal Week went to press, foreign firms were poring over details of the revised ‘third wave’ of the Closer Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA III), which will hand new rights to practise in mainland China to Hong Kong lawyers.
