Advisers feast off £10.4bn merger double whammy

ntl: merging with telewest in one of two big deals this week M&A lawyers were celebrating this week after two multi-billion pound deals – Boots’ tie-up of Alliance UniChem and the £3.4bn Telewest merger with NTL – generated roles for a string of City lawyers.

Allen & Overy (A&O) and Slaughter and May reaped the spoils of the £7bn Alliance UniChem and Boots merger, which was announced on Monday (3 October).
