Simpson Thacher loses senior Palo Alto partner

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has swooped for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett’s senior Palo Alto partner Stephen Fackler, in a rare partner loss for the Wall Street powerhouse.

Fackler is an executive compensation lawyer who joined Simpson Thacher in 2001 from West Coast leader Cooley Godward, where he was the founder and managing partner of the firm’s compensation and benefits committee.
