Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s flagship City corporate team has set itself a growth target of 20% over the next two years after last week announcing it was to shake up the practice and sharpen up its business-winning skills.

The move, which comes after a 12-month review of the practice, is aimed at improving the firm’s rain-making after four years in which growth at Freshfields’ City M&A practice has ground to a halt.
