Riggs leaves White & Case for Paris chairman role

White & Case senior partner and European trouble-shooter John Riggs has retired from the New York firm to become chairman of the American Hospital of Paris.

Riggs stood down officially on 31 March after practising law for 41 years and is set to be confirmed this week as the new chairman of the hospital, which is a private, not-for-profit medical institution.
