Investment bank Bear Stearns has appointed a new head of legal for Europe, naming Lehman Brothers’ head of transactional management for Europe, Bill McGowan, in the role.
McGowan, who was one of Lehman’s most senior in- house lawyers in Europe, takes over at Bear Stearns from Stephen Bartlett, who resigned from the role earlier this year. Lehman has yet to replace McGowan.
