Shearman & Sterling has elected two new members to its policy committee – leaving the nine-strong body with only one non-US lawyer – as the group kickstarts the search for its next senior partner.

The top 10 US firm last week elected New York corporate partner Rohan Weerasinghe and San Fran-cisco-based California chief John Wilson to the committee, replacing senior Paris partner Emmanuel Gaillard and New York’s Linda Rappaport.
