McDermott Will & Emery has reported a 12% jump in revenue and an 8% hike in profits as the Chicago-based giant leads a group of national US firms this week unveiling their 2004 financials.

The 1,000-lawyer firm’s fee income hit $745m (£387m) last year, compared with 2003′s $665m (£346m), with profits per partner (PPP) increasing to $1.19m (£618,000) from the previous year’s $1.11m (£580,000).
