Signy tops UK partner M&A ranks while Linklaters reclaims European deal crown

Clifford Chance (CC) corporate partner Adam Signy has topped the 2004 individual partner league tables for both value and volume of work in the UK.

Signy advised on 12 deals worth a total value of £19.7bn during the year, according to Mergermarket, including the £8.5bn takeover of Abbey by Spanish bank Santander Central Hispano and the £1.58bn Canary Wharf sale.
