Leading commercial lawyers have given a mixed response to the transatlantic merger between DLA and top 50 US national firm Piper Rudnick, according to new research.

The latest Legal Week/ EJ Legal Big Question survey of more than 100 partners found 65% viewed the merger – which is part of a three-way tie-up with West Coast firm Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich – as making ‘a little’ strategic sense.
